About Our School
Veterans Park Elementary School is one of six K–5 elementary schools in the Ridgefield Public School District. Located in beautiful Ridgefield, Connecticut, our school has a tradition of excellence. Our Curriculum
Veterans Park Elementary’s curriculum adheres to state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. We also offer instruction in computer coding, art, music, and physical education. Our students leave elementary school well-prepared for success in middle school.
Arrival & Dismissal Information
Arrival
The school day begins at 9:10 a.m.; the doors to Veterans Park open at 8:55 a.m. Students who arrive at school between 8:55 and 9:10 a.m. will wait in supervised common areas until 9:10 a.m. when the school day officially begins. Then they will go to their classrooms. Kindergarten through second graders wait in the cafeteria, and third through fifth graders wait in the cafeteria.
Dismissal
Parents using pedestrian pickup should plan on being outside of the cafeteria doors between 3:45 p.m. and 3:50 p.m. Car pickups should arrive in the queue starting at 3:40 p.m.
