Veteran Park's 5th grade Girl Scout Troop 51168 invites all students to join them at their "March Madness" fundraising event on Friday, March 24 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. The afternoon will include movement to music in the gym and movies in the cafeteria theater. There will also be Girl Scout cookies, popcorn, and more!
Veterans Park student council has launched its annual pennies for patients campaign joining elementary, middle, and high school students across the country. We will be collecting spare change to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society during the next three weeks.
Make sure to check out the highlighted work that is on display at the Ridgefield Recreation Center. The exhibit of Ridgefield elementary artists will be on display for the entire month of March.
The Responsive Classroom approach is a way of teaching that creates a safe, challenging, and joyful classroom and school wide climate for all students. Teachers who use the Responsive Classroom approach understand that all of students’ needs—academic, social, emotional, and physical—are important. We encourage you to review our document on the Responsive Classroom.
Please be on the lookout in March for a wonderful picture book that will come home for you to enjoy and read with your child. This year, the PTA has generously donated copies of Each Kindness and is partnering with us on a project to support a positive and happy school climate. More details are coming soon!
